Tongue Twisters
Jane RRR): Помнится, в инязе мы выучили не одну скороговорку... Мне это доставляло какой-то особый fun, если честно:) Но... Как вы думаете, коллеги, есть ли в этом смысл? Насколько скороговорки вписываются в наш коммуникативный подход? Используете ли вы их на своих занятиях? Если да, то как часто? Какую реакцию обычно встречаете от студентов, и какую пользу в этом видите?

Elena Geiko: не буду оригинальной, если скажу, что на начальных этапах скороговорки помогают тренировать произношение, а на более продвинутых можно даже обсуждать их смысл знаю одну преподавательницу, у которой было правило - студент, заговоривший на уроке по-русски, произносит скороговорку 10 раз

Jane RRR): Предлагаю поделиться любимыми скороговорками. Мне вот нравится одна простая. Нужно много раз повторять: "Sunshine city, sunshine city, sunshine city, ..." Ну, сколько раз вышло?
Jane RRR): И ещё люблю некоторые с "философским смыслом", наподобии вот этих: When a doctor doctors a doctor, does the doctor doing the doctoring doctor as the doctor being doctored wants to be doctored or does the doctor doing the doctoring doctor as he wants to doctor? If two witches watched two watches, which witch would watch which watch? Your turn!

Tatyana: Смысл скороговорок велик! Они (скороговорки) заставляют язык вращаться в нужном направлении, привыкать к чужеродным звукам в новом языке! e.g. Betty Botta bought some butter, but she said: 'This butter's bitter' but a bit of better butter will make my batter better. So she bought a bit of butter better than the bitter butter and it made the batter better.
Jane RRR): Потрясающая история про Бетти Бота! Мне кажется, сюжетные скороговорки как-то легче запоминать, да и повторять их интереснее, чем бессмысленные. Мне ещё нравилось очень произносить русские скороговорки с английским акцентом. Во всяком случае, нас приучил куратор, и мы (наша группа) пищали от восторга. Что-то вроде "стоит поп на копне, колпак на попе, копна под попом, а под - под колпаком", произнесенное с усиленным придыханием (п, т, к). Было смешно . На произношение, вроде бы, повлияло хорошо:)).
